With a history of segregation, lynching, voter suppression, and sex discrimination…all is not bright in “The Sunshine State.” And with the Stand Your Ground Law, Florida’s attempts to roll back time continue with catastrophic results and a people divided.
With “Beyond Trayvon,” Chuck D puts idea to canvas with a new art piece that takes us into the classroom appealing to future generations to progress with time. The same pairing that had a huge impact with “By the Time I Got to Arizona,” Chuck D worked with notorious creativity house SceneFour on this upcoming fine art release.

“BY THE TIME I GOT TO ARIZONA”
by Chuck D
Epic in size. Massive in significance.
Focused on ill-conceived immigration policies in Arizona that perpetuate racial profiling, the artwork is Chuck D’s foray into the medium of fine art, working in collaboration with art collective SceneFour. Also notable is the origin of many of the images featured within the creation.
“By The Time I Got To Arizona” is a Visual Mash-Up. To execute much of the work, a variety of American masterpieces were sampled, reconfigured and intertwined with contemporary images from Guantanamo, Mexico, and Arizona in a stealth manner.
